Konza Prairie Biological Station

Fee Schedule

(Effective 9 April 2024)

Konza Prairie Biological Station is managed by the Division of Biology, Kansas State University. The land is privately owned by The Nature Conservancy and the KSU Foundation. Operation and maintenance of the station is supported principally by user fees, with additional support from Kansas State University and the Kansas Agricultural Experiment Station. KPBS user fees are crucial for the maintenance of the facilities, infrastructure and services for researchers, including roads, fences, labs, equipment, long-term study plots, and the field operations required to maintain all burning and grazing treatments.

Call the Konza Prairie Office, 785-587-0441, for additional information and reservations.

NOTE: All requests for Konza Prairie site use, housing, or facilities/equipment must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

GRANT-FUNDED RESEARCH: Proposal budgets should include a base annual site access fee as well fees for person days on site, any on-site lodging, and any staff assistance or special equipment needs. The base annual access fee varies for internal (KSU) and external (non-KSU) grants. For more information on KPBS fees to include in developing proposal budgets, please contact the KPBS Director prior to proposal submission.
